Endocrine
The endocrine treatment centers provide evaluation and therapy for individuals with benign and malignant (cancerous) tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid, or adrenal glands, as well as individuals with pancreatic islet cell tumors. A team of specialists collaborates in the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders-including endocrinologists, thyroidologists, endocrine surgeons, thoracic surgeons, oncology surgeons with the participation of gastroenterologists, nuclear medicine specialists, and medical oncologists, as necessary. Diagnostic evaluations include fine needle aspiration biopsies (thyroid), as well as radioisotope and other radiologic imaging techniques. In addition to conventional therapies, patients have access to investigational therapies.
